Why Should You Claim CalEITC?

CalEITC 2023 offers several benefits to eligible individuals and families, including:
  • Financial assistance: The tax credit provides much-needed financial assistance to help you make ends meet and pay for essentials like housing, food, and healthcare.
  • Boost to local economies: The CalEITC 2023 will also provide a boost to local economies, as you are able to use the credit to purchase goods and services in your community.
 
  • Stimulus to small businesses: The program will also provide a stimulus to small businesses, as you are able to use the credit to purchase goods and services from local businesses.

Who is Eligible for CalEITC?

To be eligible for CalEITC, you must:
Live in California for at least half of the year
Have a valid Social Security number
Have earned income from employment, self-employment, or farming


Have an adjusted gross income (AGI) below a certain limit, based on your filing status and number of qualifying children


The income limits for CalEITC are as follows:

  • Single or head of household: $30,000
  • Married filing jointly: $60,000
  • Three or more qualifying children: $66,000
